What’s done cannot be undone,
a wise woman once said,
which is so definite,
yet there’s beauty in it.
‘Tis an adage
that reassures us that
what is, is
and what can be, may be.
The thought that
things without all remedy
should be of no regard
is comforting, it reminds us that
in this world, where we think incessantly,
sometimes,
it’s alright to simply stop
and get thee to bed.
